The Fantasy World Of Professional Sports Continues

Major League Baseball is starting to look and sound just like a videogame.

First the league announced they will be using crowd noise from Sony’s MLB video game, and now Fox will be using cutting edge virtual crowds in their broadcasts.

Here’s how it works:

Fox Sports, in its 25th year of broadcasting MLB games, has teamed up with Silver Spoon Animation to create the technology. The company said they are using Pixatope software. Sports Business Journal previously reported on Fox’s virtual crowd tech.

A Fox spokesman told CNBC the network tested the software out at Arizona’s Chase Field about three weeks ago. It passed the test.

At first, we’ll see the virtual crowds in the wide shots only, but eventually the technology will be able to show closeups of players, fans reaching out for home runs and maybe, if we’re lucky, the Kiss Cam.

Fox said the level of detail will even allow the network to control what fan gear the crowds are wearing and how they react to specific plays. For example, the virtual fans may leave the stadium if it looks like the home team is going to lose in a blowout.

Fox is looking to make the broadcast feel and natural as possible, so the technology will be used sparingly, and it’s not expected to be used for every play. Fox told CNBC it’s also “exploring” the use of virtual fans in NFL broadcasts when the season starts in September, but nothing has been finalized yet.

Professional sports is a bread and circus distraction. A reality created for us to distract from the lie system. For people to fall for how fake their distraction is, just shows where the masses are at mentally. Dumb as shit.

Like this wasn't waiting to be unleashed for a situation like were living in now. No more fans and so then comes in technology that is available to fill virtual fans into arenas and stadiums of Professional sports games. Now we are talking augmented reality really taking over Pro sports. There was already a video game feel to Pro sporting events with the NFL TV broadcasts having CGI for first downs, games in the snow having the field marked by augmented technology overlayed on the actual field and there are those highlighting circles over the players. The NHL had the FOX puck tracking augmented reality shit back in the 90s. ESPN whenever they show highlights of games will use augmented reality video game technology over the actual broadcast of the games.

This is where it's been heading. Making Pro sports faker than ever before. CGI or augmented reality will soon be used to help rig these games. Augmented reality can alter games by determining whether a ball is fair or foul in a baseball game or whether a puck goes in the goal at a NHL game. The possibilities are endless because Pro Sports are now going to be video games. People will accept this and then they can just fake the players using CGI and nobody will mind cheering for a CGI sports team representing their city.

I wonder if he would've come on an Afternoon Commute since he seems available for talks like this one. This guy is still going in his late 70s with good critical analysis of reality and how his book Expanded Cinema applies today, 50 years later. In the beginning he reflects on how he forgot who Neil Postman author of Amusing Ourselves To Death was and shows off some good books which talk about questioning the reality in which we live.

Virtual Reality Will Affect Actual Reality

Since tech wizard Jaron Lanier made virtual reality popular in the 1990s, many claims have been made about its transformative power. Most of these have proved to be hype and VR remained little more than a fad, popular with video gamers. But in his new book, VR: Experience On Demand, Jeremy Bailenson, founding director of the Virtual Human Interactive Lab at Stanford University, insists that VR is at last coming of age, with new applications from conservation to the treatment of PTSD.

When National Geographic caught up with him by phone from Stanford, Bailenson explained how VR is now being used to raise awareness about climate change, help quarterbacks memorize plays for the NFL, and even help first 9/11 responders suffering from PTSD.

When I interviewed Jaron Lanier, the pioneer of VR, two decades ago, he was ecstatic about its potential. Recently he said the digital “hive mind” threatens to lead us into “social catastrophe.” Which is right?

Jaron is a great colleague of mine. He and I have published papers together and we talk a lot about VR as a tool to make people better, for collaboration and expression. The thing to remember is that VR is a medium. Just like the written word, just like video, and it all depends on what we do with it. Throughout his long, amazing career, Jaron has been someone who pushes us to use technology for good, to think about how to use avatars to make people more collaborative, to reduce prejudice, and increase productivity.

One of the bold claims you make is that VR can help save the planet. Describe the thinking here, and how an experiment on the island of Ischia, in Italy, is helping combat ignorance about climate change.

Climate change science is very abstract, so it’s hard for a person to fathom a world in which there are extreme weather events and higher sea levels and how it’s going to affect his or her daily life. So what we did in Ischia was take a marine site that scientists have been studying for decades, which shows how carbon dioxide is destroying coral and degrading the food web.

I can’t bring the entire world to Ischia to show how CO2 degrades ecosystems. But with VR, I can bring Ischia to people. So we produced a seven-minute journey that shows how all the oceans will look like in about 50 years, based on this one site in Ischia. Using this VR model, people get to be a scientist, explore the effects of CO2 on various species in the ecosystem and organically learn by doing.

We’ve tested it in high school and college classrooms; thousands of people go through it at different museums. We have a permanent installation at the San Jose Tech Museum and we’ve brought it to the U.S. Senate, where senators and congressmen and congresswomen can experience it. I can confidently say that this simulation increases knowledge about climate change by showing them, viscerally, how it is going to affect us all.

This is one of Aaron Franz's best audios. It may be two years old but it's worth listening to multiple times. A good part of this audio is where Aaron talks about fake deaths by Freemasons and the occultist where he says there is such thing as a philosophic death where you fake your death by presenting yourself as dead to those who are not awake and also the exoteric world. He talks about those who fake their death from the truth movement now operate from behind the shadows. Aaron talks about the occult death/rebirth theme that is taking place with these fake deaths. The death is faked to the public/exoteric world and the rebirth is in the esoteric world. The story of Jesus Christ comes to mind as an example of an occult philosophic death display.

I think fake deaths are happening a lot by anyone who is a high level Freemason or secret society member. It could be someone in politics, government, entertainment, professional sports, etc. Sometimes the fake death is for financial purposes in addition to being philosophic like a popular musician who fakes their death for the public, thus making money for the music industry while at the same time taking part in a philosophic death where now they operate in the shadows and continue to advance in degrees of their secret society.The death/rebirth theme seems to be very important in secret societies/the occult/freemasonry.

I think the the high level secret society members really don't give a fuck about the exoteric world. A good example is the hazing we see taking place with celebrities. Bill Cosby right now is being hazed  in public with his trial over sexual assault accusations. I don't think he really sexually assaulted anyone. This is for secret society hazing purposes. It's to test Bill Cosby to advance in degrees in his secret society. He is showing how it doesn't bother him that those in the exoteric reality are seeing him disgraced. He is showing his allegiance to the esoteric world by going through this hazing ritual.

Another example is OJ Simpson. I don't think OJ killed anyone. The whole OJ Simpson Psyop was a hazing ritual on top of being a racial divide Psyop and to distract people. OJ went along with it because he is advancing in degrees in this secret society. He agrees to be disgraced to those in the exoteric world and show that it doesn't bother him because he is a initiate into his secret society or the esoteric world and that's where is allegiance is.

Calcified Lies is a deep critical thinker and I enjoy what he has to say. He really blew me away with this latest video. He questions the rigidness, restrictions and lack of freedom in our lives in this video. The way we are trained to be automatons by fictional constructs like time.

Calcified Lies questions our manufactured reality with videos like these and his critical analysis and commentary you can learn a lot from. He sees the cons and deception and can break them down and expose them unlike lots of critical thinkers and skeptics out there.

I know Calcified Lies has been critical of Chris Kendall and John Adams for associating with Jay Dyer which I can't blame him for. I agree with Calcified Lies on Jay Dyer being controlled opposition or an agent, but I think Chris Kendall and John Adams are genuine researchers and I've learned a lot from the both of them and still do. I think it's just a misunderstanding by Calcified Lies about John and Chris. I see a lot of similarities between how deep critically Chris Kendall and Calcified Lies think and the two of them should be really conversing with their thoughts about life instead of on opposite sides of each other.
